About School Utilities

School Utilities is part of ICO Commercial Services Ltd and consists of a team of 5 people. Our aim is provide cost saving utility services to the education sector providing a single point of contact for school utility services in the UK.

We don’t just save our clients money on utilities. The utility procurement process is often time consuming and resource hungry. Most local authorities or school groups assign a member of staff to procure energy and monitor the market. At School Utilities we provide this service free of charge so you can concentrate on the more important things like spending the money that we have saved you!

We like to consider our selves a “Planet Friendly” company. Where ever possible our aim is to suggest methods to reduce consumption as well as cost in order to offset carbon emissions and reduce the impact schools have on the environment. As well as preaching to our clients we also have our own environmental policies which commit us to the following:

• We plant a tree for every new school that procures utilitities via our site
• We do not print thousands of unnecessary brochures
• We use email for any written communication where possible
• We recycle any of the materials used in our day to day running where possible
• All printed materials will be produced on recycled paper or material sourced from sustainable forests.
• We use energy saving light bulbs in our offices
