School Green Energy Choices

greenenergy
It is important that schools have the choice to facilitate their environmental policies by means of greener or renewable energy supplies.

Renewable energy is a source of green energy that can never be exhausted or is continually replenished by some natural process. Green energy refers to ‘environmentally friendly’ energy generated from sources such as hydro (water), solar (sun), biomass (landfill) or wind. Non-renewable energy sources such as coal, oil and gas exist in finite reserves and are continually being depleted. These energy sources also create considerable damage to the environment.

We have a number of green energy suppliers that we can recommend as part of your procurement process.  We can offer “Green Energy” to one or all of your sites, either for your full energy requirement, or as a percentage.  All of our products are audited, certificated and Fully CCL exempt.

What is CCL ?

CCL is the short term for Climate Change Levy. The Climate Change Levy (CCL) is a Government enforced tax is a government enforced tax and has been in effect since April 2001. All energy suppliers are required to collect CCL from their customers. From April 2008 CCL will be charged at a rate of 0.456p/kWh.

All of our green energy products are exempt from CCL.
